This trait is not a standardized parameter of varietal value and does not have a direct correlation with root crop yield. In breeding trials, the height of the leaf rosette is more often assessed as an indicator of the growth intensity of the photosynthetic apparatus.

Plant height acquires practical significance only in the second year of vegetation during the formation of flowering stems, which can reach 150 cm or more.
