For small-seeded faba bean forms, the optimal parameters for high-yielding varieties are considered to be height values ranging from 69 to 90 cm. This indicator is measured as the distance from the base of the stem to the tip of the main shoot, while the height of the lowest pod attachment, which should be at least 20–22 cm, is critically important for assessing suitability for mechanized harvesting.

Plant height directly correlates with seed productivity, as it allows for the formation of a greater number of nodes and pods. However, excessive growth combined with high sowing density can increase the risk of lodging, and stress factors such as drought or pest damage cause a significant reduction in height indicators.
