Variety description

The variety is a semi-evergreen or deciduous shrub 0.7–1.0 m high and 0.9–1.5 m wide. It has a dense rounded shape with gracefully arched reddish-purple shoots.

The leaves change color: in spring they are light green with a yellow border, in summer the center darkens, and in autumn and winter the foliage acquires orange and fiery red shades. White flowers with a pink tint bloom from late spring to autumn.

The plant prefers sunny locations and well-drained fertile soils. The variety is relatively winter-hardy, withstanding temperatures down to -10…-15 °C. Maintenance includes light spring pruning to maintain shape.
