The variety is a compact, dense, dome-shaped shrub reaching a height of 0.8–1.2 m. The leaves are dark green and glossy, acquiring bronze or purple hues in the cold season. The plant is semi-evergreen; the degree of foliage retention depends on climatic conditions.
Flowering begins in May and continues until autumn. The flowers are large, tubular, and soft pink with a strong fragrance. The raspberry-red sepals provide special ornamental value to the plant, remaining on the branches after the petals have fallen.
The variety demonstrates high tolerance to heat and drought, as well as good resistance to leaf diseases. The plant's winter hardiness is estimated at approximately -15°C. The shrub is suitable for hedges, solitary or group plantings, and for cultivation in containers.
