The variety is a climbing vine, identical to the Hayward variety in terms of growth vigor, flowering time, and harvest time. The fruit skin is greenish-brown with short bristly pubescence; the flesh is green with a firm consistency. The fruit shape is cylindrical, with a length-to-diameter ratio of 1.44.

The variety is valued for a reduced percentage of culls in inflorescences due to a lower tendency to form fused fruits. Like other representatives of the species Actinidia deliciosa, the variety is susceptible to bacterial canker of actinidia, caused by Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae.
