Variety description

The variety is a tetraploid selection. It is an early-maturing variety: buds break 4–17 days earlier than in the Hayward variety, flowering occurs two weeks earlier, and the harvest ripens in late September – October.

The cylindrical fruits have an average weight of 85–147 g. The flesh is intensely yellow, juicy and aromatic, with notes of melon and pear. The skin is bronze-colored, smoother than that of the Hayward or Tsechelidis varieties.

The plant is characterized as moderately resistant to bacterial canker (PSA) and requires wind-protected areas. The variety is sensitive to frost and is not intended for regions with harsh winters. The shelf life of the fruits is about 90 days under normal conditions and up to 120 days in a controlled atmosphere.
