The plant is an upright bushy perennial reaching a height of 50 to 75 cm. The flowers are violet-blue in color and have a characteristic star shape.

The variety prefers sunny locations. In regions with freezing winter temperatures, the plant is grown primarily in containers and requires maintenance in a frost-free room during the cold period.
