Variety description

The plant is a compact, upright, bushy perennial 60 to 80 cm in height. The leaves are small, lanceolate, serrated, grayish-green in color, and possess a characteristic aroma of anise, licorice, or root beer.

Flowering lasts from mid-summer until the first frosts. The inflorescences are gathered into dense terminal spikes consisting of pink-purple flowers in dark calyces. The variety does not produce abundant self-seeding, conserving energy for continuous flowering.

The plant is considered winter-hardy, prefers full sun and well-drained soils. It is sensitive to stagnant moisture during the winter period and does not tolerate heavy soils.
