The evergreen plant forms a dense bushy rosette. Height varies from 11.5 to 70 cm depending on age and growing conditions. The leaves are narrow, slightly curved, with a pointed tip and a glossy surface, decorated with a pattern of light stripes diverging from the central vein.

The plant is resistant to irregular watering but sensitive to ethylene exposure and low temperatures. In indoor conditions, it flowers rarely, forming spadix inflorescences, which may be followed by red fruits. It propagates vegetatively through division of the bush or cuttings.
