Variety description

10 August 2026

The variety is included in official variety lists as an object of local cultural heritage. It is a vegetatively propagated crop that forms clusters of bulbs numbering from 3 to 20 per stem.

The plant has the ability to withstand temperatures down to -8 °C, which allows for planting in the autumn or early spring periods. The harvest matures in July — early August, with bulb formation taking 60–75 days.

This shallot is used as spring onion at early stages of development, for consumption in the autumn-winter period, and is also suitable for pickling.
