Variety description

The plant is propagated exclusively vegetatively by bulbs and does not form flower stalks. Each cluster forms from 6 to 12 medium-sized bulbs. The bulbs have a round shape, bronze-brown dry scales, and white succulent inner scales. The variety is characterized by a high dry matter content.

The planting material of the variety is susceptible to viral infections, in particular shallot latent virus, and fungal diseases such as Aspergillus niger, which requires the use of in vitro tissue culture sanitation methods. It is recommended to plant in early spring, in mid-March, as shallowly as possible.
