Domaći represents a group of traditional plants adapted to the conditions of coastal areas and islands. These plants reproduce exclusively vegetatively by dividing clusters in which 3 to 20 bulbs are formed on a single root system.

Externally, the bulbs of this group are characterized by an oblong shape and golden-pink scales. The plants are used in households both for obtaining young green leaves and for using mature bulbs in cooking, where they are valued for a milder taste compared to bulb onions.
