The variety forms round-shaped bulbs covered with copper-brown or deep reddish scales. The flesh of the bulbs is fleshy. The produce is distinguished by good keeping quality during storage.

In European breeding practice, the status of the variety is debatable, as the intensity of splitting into daughter bulbs is below the threshold values established for classic shallots. The variety is intended for sale on the fresh market.
