The bulbs have a round or slightly pear-shaped form with thin, shiny straw-yellow scales possessing a pearlescent sheen. The white flesh contains low levels of sulfur compounds.
The variety is adapted to the conditions of Southern France and can be grown under varying day lengths. The bulb caliber at standard planting density is 60–80 mm; however, with a sparse sowing scheme, bulb size increases.
