The Elad F1 variety is a very early hybrid suitable for cultivation under both irrigated and rain-fed conditions. The potential yield of the crop exceeds 50 tonnes per hectare.
The bulbs of this variety are medium or large in size and are distinguished by a pronounced pungent taste. The plant possesses confirmed genetic resistance to pink root rot.
In a number of regions, an improved version of this hybrid is presented, known as Super Elad F1.
