Bulbs of the Hourcadere variety have a light color and reach a height of 30–40 cm. The variety is a traditional non-hybrid open-pollinated plant.
The plant is intended for fresh consumption and does not have good keeping quality for long-term storage. It is cultivated as a winter onion: sowing is carried out from September to November, harvesting from May to July.
The variety has relative cold hardiness, withstanding temperatures from -7°C to -15°C. It has an upright plant habit.
