The variety represents the "Ramata" group of ecotypes, historically grown on the plains in the vicinity of Padua and in Lombardy. The vegetation period is from 105 to 120 days after emergence. The medium-sized plant forms bulbs of a spherical, slightly elongated or conical shape with broad flat shoulders and a narrow neck.
The outer scales have a copper-gold or golden-yellow hue; the flesh is white, succulent, and firm. The taste is semi-pungent with sweetish notes. The variety possesses good neck maturity and high keeping quality, which allows the crop to be stored until the end of spring. The crop is for universal use, suitable for cultivation as an annual or via transplants.
