The variety belongs to traditional Italian ecotypes of the Ramata family. The period from germination to maturity is 110–120 days. The bulbs have an elongated shape, flat and wide shoulders, and a thin neck; their average weight varies from 100 to 200 grams.
The outer scales are dense, colored in copper-red with a purple tint; the flesh is white. The variety is suitable for fresh consumption and culinary use, and possesses a delicate aroma and sweet taste.
