Variety description

The variety forms round, uniformbulbs with dense yellow-brown dry scales and succulent white inner scales. The dark green leaves are covered with a waxy bloom; the plant has a vigorous foliage and a well-developed root system.
The onion is characterized by resistance to bolting and Fusarium rot, and is capable of withstanding frosts down to -15°C at the 4–5 leaf stage. The produce is suitable for sale on the fresh market and for short-term storage; the dry matter content is 6.8–9.3%.
The variety is intended for winter cultivation with sowing in late August or September to obtain a harvest in May–June.
