The plant forms practically no bulb, developing neat bunches of upright stems. The color intensity of the leaf bases increases during lower temperatures in the autumn or winter period.
The variety is cold-resistant, capable of overwintering in open field conditions, and possesses a good ability to regrow. The period from sowing to harvest readiness is 60–70 days.
Used for fresh consumption in salads, soups, and for dish decoration, due to which it is often considered an aesthetically attractive plant.
