The plant forms a long, thin pseudostem with a distinct red or red-violet coloration, which can extend to the lower part of the tubular grey-green leaves. The height of the plant varies from 30 to 80 cm depending on growing conditions.

The variety is classified as early, with readiness for harvest occurring 30–60 days after emergence. The crop is intended for obtaining vitamin-rich greens and is suitable for open field and pot cultivation. It is characterized by winter hardiness; however, characteristics may vary among different seed producers.
