The plant forms strong, vertically growing blue-green leaves about 38 cm tall. At the base of the stem, there is a small thickening of about 1.9 cm; the surface of the stems is smooth and easy to clean.

The variety has vigorous growth and winter hardiness, suitable for cultivation as an overwintering crop or as an annual or biennial. The plant is capable of regrowth after cutting, which allows for harvesting multiple times per season.
