Frolia belongs to bolting varieties, forming flower stalks with bulbils in June. To stimulate the development of the main bulb, it is recommended to remove the stalks.
The bulbs have a gray-white color; purple streaks may appear during maturation. Inside, there are 7–10 cloves covered with a dense brown husk, which is easy to peel.
The variety is intended for winter planting and harvesting before the end of July. It possesses a pronounced aroma and is suitable for long-term storage.
