The variety belongs to the group of garlic with a pink tunic and is included in the category of types adapted to temperate or Mediterranean climates with cold winters. The plant does not form flower stalks, bulbs contain on average about 14.2 cloves.

The variety possesses a high degree of dormancy, which ensures long-term storage. The plant shows tolerance to garlic mosaic virus, maintaining yield when infected. Recommended for spring planting; in certain regions, pre-winter planting is permissible.

In the history of breeding, the variety was used as source material for obtaining virus-free mericlones. It is an important genetic resource that served as a basis for the development of other French garlic varieties.
