Variety description

The variety is a hybrid of Allium karataviense × Allium hollandicum. One of the key characteristics is the ability of a single bulb to form 2–3 flower stalks with a height of 60 to 100 cm. Large spherical inflorescences reach a diameter of 10–20 cm and have a light purple or pinkish-purple color. The basal foliage of a saturated green color tends to die back before the end of flowering.
The plant blooms in the period from May to June or July. The variety is characterized by drought tolerance and winter hardiness in USDA zones 4–9, and possesses resistance to diseases and pests. Sturdy stems allow the variety to be used in cut flower arrangements and for creating bouquets. The plant is suitable for cultivation in open ground and container culture, retaining the decorative quality of dry inflorescences after flowering.
