Variety description

The plant possesses narrow foliage of a grey-green or glaucous-green color. Small star-shaped flowers are gathered in dense globular inflorescences with a diameter of up to 8–10 cm. The height of the flower stalks varies from 25 to 50 cm.

Flowering occurs in late spring to early summer, covering May, June, and sometimes July. The variety is winter-hardy, adapted to USDA zones 3–4, and relatively drought-tolerant. The plant is sensitive to waterlogged soil.

The variety is suitable for cutting, use in dried bouquets, and container cultivation. In landscape design, it is used for the foreground of borders, alpine gardens, and rock gardens. It is a honey plant that attracts bees and butterflies.
