Variety description

The plant reaches a height of 120 to 200 cm. The inflorescences are dense globes 12–20 cm in diameter, consisting of small star-shaped violet-purple flowers with white tips. The stem is thick and strong, developing a purple tint over time; the foliage resembles that of leeks.

Flowering occurs in July–August. The variety possesses high winter hardiness, corresponding to USDA zone 4 (down to -35°C). When grown in open, windy areas, staking may be required. After flowering ends, the seed heads retain their decorative value; the crop is suitable for use in landscape design and as cut flowers.
