The variety is the most late-maturing among Lithuanian analogs of that period; its growing season lasts 120–150 days. The plant reaches an average height of 146 cm, has a reddish leaf tint, and white seeds.
The Rausvukai amaranth is intended primarily for grain production. During multi-year trials, the variety showed a high green mass yield, reaching 26.7 t/ha, while grain yield was lower than that of earlier varieties due to ripening characteristics in short growing season conditions.
