Variety description

The plant has a compact form. The foliage is green in spring, begins to acquire purple hues from mid-summer, and turns a deep plum-black color by autumn. In the winter period, the stems become yellowish-brown. The flowering period with characteristic feathery inflorescences lasts from July to September.
The variety possesses high drought tolerance due to a well-developed root system. It prefers sunny locations and well-drained soils. In excessively fertile and moist soils, the plant may lose its vertical form and lodge.
