The plant reaches 120–180 cm in height and forms an upright clump. The inflorescences have a reddish tint and the 'Indian paw' shape characteristic of the species.

The variety possesses high resistance to diseases, pests, drought, heat, and low winter temperatures. Attractiveness is maintained from summer until late autumn and early winter.

The plant is intended for landscape use as an accent element, a container crop, or in mass plantings.
