Ardisia crenata is an evergreen compact shrub from 1 to 1.5 meters in height, sometimes reaching 3 meters. The plant is characterized by dark green glossy leaves with wavy margins, small fragrant flowers, and drupe fruits. It is used as an ornamental crop.
