Jaleo is a clonal hybrid. The variety belongs to the early maturity group and demonstrates a high adaptability to warm climates. Studies note the variety's effectiveness when grown in tropical regions.

During trials, the variety showed high results in terms of weight and number of harvested spears, and was also evaluated for quality indicators during cold storage. The variety is included in scientific research concerning the effects of soil salinity and susceptibility to fungal diseases of the genus Fusarium.
