The Iva variety was developed based on the old local variety Ivančický, which was historically grown in the area of the town of Ivančice. The product is an example of local breeding that preserves the traditions of Ivančice asparagus cultivation.
The variety is intended for the production of both white asparagus in the form of blanched spears and green asparagus in the form of unblanched spears.
