The Jersey Giant variety is a first-generation hybrid belonging to the group of all-male plants. The absence of female individuals allows the crop to direct all resources toward spear development, which ensures high yield, exceeding the performance of traditional varieties.

The plant forms spears of medium and large diameter, green in color with purple bracts. Mature specimens reach a height of 1 to 1.8 meters. The variety is adapted to cool and temperate climates and is suitable both for fresh market sale and industrial processing.
