Asparagus officinalis L. Asparagus · Vegetables · bred by Vilmorin-Mikado S.A.S.

also searched as: росалие

Variety description

10 August 2026

The hybrid forms tall, open plants, predominantly of the male sex (about 80%), which ensures increased productivity due to the absence of resource expenditure on seeds. The spears possess a rich purple-violet color and have an average diameter of 22–24 mm.

The variety possesses genetic resistance to asparagus rust and tolerance to stem blight. When grown under conditions of insufficient light, the spears may acquire a pinkish tint; the variety is also being studied for biochemical composition and storage characteristics.
