The Ringo F1 variety was created as part of breeding programs to improve product uniformity. During its development, tissue culture methods were used, which allowed for the production of a hybrid with higher productivity indicators compared to open-pollinated varieties.

This variety was intended for professional cultivation of marketable spears. According to European Commission documentation, in 2020 the variety was removed from the reproductive material register due to its absence on the market. Detailed morphological characteristics and data on disease resistance are absent in publications.
