The plant forms a compact, upright, bushy habit. Leaves are palmately dissected, deeply lobed, dark green in color. The height of the flower stalks is 50–70 cm.

The inflorescences are large compound umbels of a bright pink or reddish-pink shade. Flowering occurs during the summer period from June to August; the variety is capable of repeat flowering if spent stems are pruned.

The variety belongs to winter hardy plants (USDA zones 4–7). It prefers partial shade and moist, fertile, well-drained soils; it can grow in full sun with sufficient moisture. It is used in flower beds, mixed borders, and for cutting.
