THIERRY MOMONT
10 August 2026
The variety is tall and belongs to traditional types, not being a dwarf variety. Due to its morphological characteristics, the variety is characterized by an increased risk of lodging and grain shattering compared to more modern breeding samples.
The variety's grain was long considered the benchmark for the milling industry in terms of bulk density and plumpness. The variety is also widely used in scientific research as reference material in tissue culture and plant regeneration experiments.
The variety is susceptible to regional diseases, which caused it to be gradually replaced in production by varieties more resistant to rust and other pathogens.
