Variety description

The plant is a compact shrub with thorny shoots, reaching a height of about 1 meter and a width of up to 1.5 meters. The branches often arch. When unfolding, the leaves are pale green, later developing cream-white and pink speckles, and in autumn, the foliage turns deep carmine and orange tones.

Flowering occurs in May with small yellow flowers. In autumn, oval coral-red shiny fruits ripen, which remain on the bush until December. The variety is winter hardy down to -30 °C, tolerant of urban conditions, and has low susceptibility to diseases and pests.

The shrub is light-loving; it loses the decorative coloring of its leaves in insufficient light. It prefers fertile, well-drained soils. It is used in single and group plantings, for borders, hedges, rock gardens, and container gardening.
