Vigorous shrub 2.5–3.5 meters tall with upright and slightly drooping shoots. Leaves have a reddish tint when budding, then turn green, and acquire a red-orange color in autumn.

The plant blooms profusely with light yellow fragrant flowers in long clusters. Fruits are red, elongated, practically devoid of seeds, and remain on the branches until spring. Fruit ripening occurs in September–October.

The taste of the fruits is characterized as sour, similar to currants. The variety is resistant to urban conditions and low temperatures. It is used in gardening as an ornamental crop and a source of raw material for home processing.
