Gunnar is a monogerm diploid hybrid of the N type. The root crops have an average weight of about 581 g, while the yield under field conditions reaches 498 c/ha. The sugar content in the root crops is 17.0–18.0%, which, combined with a high white sugar yield, ensures efficiency of industrial cultivation.
The hybrid possesses complex resistance to diseases, including increased resistance to rhizomania. High resistance to Cercospora leaf spot and powdery mildew is also noted, which contributes to stable production of a high-quality crop.
