Kawemono is an anisoploid hybrid that was used as an industrial variety. In the period from 1983 to 1985, the hybrid served as a reference standard for evaluating sugar beet productivity on plots infested with rhizomania, although the variety itself did not possess resistance to this disease.
During research activities, the variety demonstrated good salt tolerance and was used in the study of beet cyst nematode biology. The variety was also used in technological trials, where its root crop parameters served as a basis for testing the characteristics of harvesting equipment.
