The Kawepoly variety, previously known as Polybeta, is a multigerm variety that was actively used in industrial sugar production in the 1960s–80s. It belongs to the normal productivity type.

The variety was distinguished by high indicators of digestion and sugar accumulation. The content of insoluble dry residue was higher than that of modern monogerm hybrids. The variety required a long growing season to achieve maximum yield.
