The variety possesses a developed taproot system penetrating the soil to a depth of up to 130 cm and is noted for a high capacity for nitrogen uptake. The high leaf content ensures a significant yield of green and dry mass.

The plant grows successfully in maritime and continental climates, as well as in harsh conditions. The seeding rate is 3–4 kg/ha at a depth of 1–2 cm. Harvesting is possible from July to January depending on sowing dates, including use for fresh fodder or silage.
