The plant belongs to the marrow-stem type, forming a robust spindle-shaped stem filled with a soft core and a significant amount of leaves. The plant height varies from 100 to 210 cm depending on sowing dates; the proportion of leaf mass ranges from 20% to 55%.

The variety possesses cold hardiness and is capable of withstanding temperature drops down to –10 °C…–15 °C. In early and dense sowings, cases of plant lodging are possible. The forage mass is characterized by a high content of proteins, vitamins, and mineral substances with a relatively low fiber content.
