Mid-season hybrid Ocala is a dual-purpose variety. It is characterized by good keeping quality, and the average head weight is approximately 2.1 kg.
The plant possesses resistance to Fusarium wilt and black rot. Studies have shown high selective resistance of this variety to the effects of the herbicide clomazone.
During field trials in Florida, difficulties with seedling establishment were noted, which led to a decrease in marketable yield.
