The variety is intended for summer and winter sowing. The green mass is distinguished by a high crude protein content and is used as livestock feed. The plant efficiently absorbs nitrogen from the soil, preventing leaching, and contributes to weed suppression due to its vigorous growth.
The plant has an average flowering rate, is resistant to powdery mildew and Alternaria, and tolerates late sowing dates well. It may attract pollen beetles. Due to its kinship with rapeseed, it is not recommended for inclusion in crop rotations where rapeseed is grown, in order to avoid the accumulation of common diseases and pests.
