The period from emergence to technical maturity is 50 to 75 days. The plant forms a spreading, heavily foliated rosette and elongated-cylindrical heads weighing 2–2.5 kg. The leaves are dark green on the outside and lighten toward the core.
The variety is intended for cultivation in the open field, as well as in plastic tunnels and greenhouses. The produce is used for fresh consumption, preparation of salads and appetizers, and less frequently for canning. The plant possesses resistance to bolting, but is sensitive to crop thickening, irregular watering, and sharp temperature fluctuations.
