Variety description

10 August 2026

The hybrid Yamada (KS 888) belongs to mid-early or mid-season varieties with a vegetation period of 60 to 75 days. The plant has a compact vertical shape and forms dense elongated-cylindrical heads weighing from 1 to 2 kg. A characteristic feature of the variety is the intense purple color of both the outer and inner ruffled leaves.

The hybrid demonstrates stress tolerance to low temperatures and tolerance to diseases such as marginal leaf scorch, black spot, and phoma rot. The variety is intended primarily for cultivation in the second crop rotation. The heads are characterized by good keeping quality, maintaining their marketability for 4–6 months under proper storage conditions.
