Variety description

The variety is a compact dense shrub with arcuately curved branches, reaching a height of 100–200 cm. A distinctive characteristic is the narrow gray-green leaves with a cream or yellow margin.

Small reddish-purple or blue-violet flowers are gathered in long panicle inflorescences and have a pronounced aroma. The flowering period occurs between June and August, with the possibility of extension into the autumn.

The plant is undemanding, preferring sunny areas with well-drained soil. In cold climates, shoots may freeze, so the variety may require covering. It is used in ornamental gardening for decorating flower beds and borders and attracts butterflies.
